Why Sofel?

Sofel can vouch for both formulating, mixing and filling for all kinds of chemical liquids.

Our own laboratory is responsible for the analysis of samples, the creation of new products and quality control throughout the whole production process. The compatibility of liquid and packaging is also extensively tested.

Because of our knowledge, experience and powerful machinery, we are perfectly able to serve our private label customers in a fast, efficient and secure manner.

We’re specialized in:

• highly alkaline and acidic products
• emulsions such as polishing
• waxes with different abrasives

We like to advise and help you through the choice of packaging and to create labels either on our own printers or external printed.

We are located in Ronse, the heart of the Flemish Ardennes, with easy connections to and from the major cities of Brussels, Mons, Ghent and Kortrijk. This ensures both a smooth transport to our customers and easy access for our suppliers.

About us

In 1998, Sofel bvba was founded by Johan Degraeve and Paul Den Haese, after the acquisition of the then three-year-old company Sofel.

Sofel aimed "to develop, manufacture and marketing of high-quality and environmentally better products aimed at the professional user."

In the initial phase, we focused on the automotive sector, as the original product range focused on this.

The location in Merelbeke became too small soon, and in 2000, Sofel moved to the current site in Ronse.

In 2001, the demand for products for the cleaning, treatment and passivation of silo and bulk trucks in stainless steel and aluminum, lead to the development of products for surface treatment of stainless steel and aluminum. This division expanded rapidly to other sectors with applications in stainless steel and aluminum.

From these two sectors, the following sectors also emerged:

• products for industrial cleaning for food and hospitality, cleaning, industry ...
• building specialties: mortar additives, concrete treatment, facade cleaning and protection, ...

Sofel realizes the sale of products for surface treatment of stainless steel and aluminum on the Belgian market, the Netherlands, France, Austria and under private label worldwide.
